What is petition ?
Wikipedia says "A petition is a request to do something, most commonly addressed to a government official or public entity. In the colloquial sense, a petition is a document addressed to some official and signed by numerous individuals. A petition may be oral rather than written, and in this era may be transmitted via the Internet."
There are a million things going on in the virtual life that may provoke the public against healthcare providers.
If one hospital does a misdeed, then it is generalised and commented by the media that doctors or hospitals in general do it. For example, in the movie gabbar is back, there is a sequence where Mr.Akshay Kumar takes a dead body to a hospital and the doctors start " Treatment" , advise surgery etc and keep asking him to pay money for things. For a movie it is definitely a revenue getter, made it a superhit and is being viewed repeatedly by the public on you tube with the comments section being filled with filth and hatred talks against the doctors all over the country.
Such scenes, if avoided, can help the doctors widely by atleast minimising hatred and making the patient have a little more belief on the person who is keeping him healthy.
One hospital has a dearth of wheelchairs and the patient is dragged by his wife to the ward. This is shown repeatedly in public media and the furore generated is so much that even the ministers and local office guys had to come on tv to answer why a wheelchair was not available.
Hundreds of thousands of cases are treated with success and not one person will come out in favour of the doctor who has treated him nicely. One case that has untoward results will spell the doom of a doctor or hospital inspite of many cases which have been cured. Such is the medical fraternity.
The petitions option given in this site is basically for creating awareness amongst the media and officials of the government against making acts or enacting things that will aggravate the public against the healthcare providers, and in turn, relive the agitation from their minds.
Doctors from all kinds of sciences, nurses, wardboys, chemists, technicians and even patients can utilise this opportunity to ensure that the healthcare providers do their duty in peace, and the belief of the patient in the doctor is increased.

To stop news that provokes the public against the doctors.
Mass media, unlike social media, has a regulatory authority which is quite effective and noteworthy. In the recent past, a lot of news has been circulating in the news channels and newspapers which are provoking the public against the doctors. For the misdeeds done by a few, the whole healthcare fraternity need not suffer. A doctor needs to work with an alert mind and a clear head; not a fearful mindset. The patient will be the sufferer if the healthcare professional works with a gun at his head. This petition aims to curb such news from creating apathy against a noble profession, the likes of which demand more help from the media in support of the doctors.
